Iron power

Covered with a substance that prevents food sticking to it during and after cooking.

Non-stick coating

The maximum steam pressure (also known as vapor pressure) produced by the product. Steam pressure is the pressure exerted by a vapor in thermodynamic equilibrium with its condensed phases (solid or liquid) at a given temperature in a closed system.

Maximum steam pressure

The total amount of water which the tank can hold.

Water tank capacity

Indicates whether the water reservoir can be detached from the main unit for easier filling and cleaning.

Removable water tank

The method used to regulate the steam output and heat levels, such as through manual dials or automatic sensors.

Steam/temperature control type

This is an iron which has a 'steam boost' function to improve performance.

Steam boost function

Heating time

Performance of 'steam boost', that makes ironing more effective.

Steam boost performance

Indicates whether the device can provide a constant flow of steam during use.

Continuous steam

The amount of steam the device can produce consistently during use, typically measured in grams per minute (g/min).

Continuous steam performance

Indicates whether the device can release steam while held in an upright position to treat hanging fabrics.

Vertical steam function

Indicates whether the water tank can be refilled while the device is in use without needing to power it off.

Continuous fill

The amount of steam produced by the device can be changed.

Variable steam

The catergory of soleplate, which is a metal plate forming the base of an electric iron, machine saw, or other machine.

Soleplate type

The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white.

Indicates whether the device has a built-in function to remove limescale and mineral deposits.

Calc-clean function

Indicates whether the device includes a dedicated system to collect limescale deposits to prevent clogging and prolong service life.

Anti-calc collector

The device switches itself off automatically after a certain activity, or after a certain time of inactivity.

Auto power off

Indicates whether the device includes a built-in mechanism to prevent or reduce the buildup of limescale.

Anti-scale system

The button which is pressed to switch the device on or off.

On/off switch

Indicates whether the device features a mechanism to prevent liquid from dripping during or after use.

Anti-drip function

Indicates whether the product features a soft-touch material on the handle or contact points for improved comfort and grip.

Soft grip

Indicates whether the device can be used with ordinary tap water without requiring distilled or demineralised water.

Suitable for tap water

Indicates whether the device can be refilled while in use without needing to wait for it to cool down.

Refill any time

The amount of force exerted by the steam produced by the device, measured in bar.

Steam pressure

Indicates whether the device can be used on all types of textile materials without causing damage.

Safe for all fabrics

Indicates whether the device features a rapid heating function to reach the operating temperature more quickly.

Fast heat

Physical dimensions of the product (Width x Depth x Height) in centimeter.

Dimensions (W x D x H)

Indicates whether the product features a system that automatically adjusts the temperature to suit different fabric types.

Optimal TEMP technology

Indicates the method or presence of a notification that alerts the user when the device requires a descaling cycle to remove limescale buildup.
