Digital Data Communications GmbH

The LevelOne FEU-0812 is a wire-speed, non-blocking networking device that provides 8 ports 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connections. All ports support auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX sensing, eliminating the need for crossover cables or Uplink Ports. Each port can be used as general network port or as connecting port into a router, server, hub or another network switch.<br>

What switch device has, managed or unmanaged.

Switch type

Management features

The number of basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports (sockets).

Basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports quantity

The type/category of basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports (sockets).

Basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports type

The type of electrical interface used to provide power to the network switch, such as a C13 socket or a DC-in jack.

Power connector

Ports & interfaces

The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g.

Networking standards

The product can use Oracle 10G, which is a database management system introduced in 2003.

10G support

The specific standard used for data transmission over copper twisted-pair cables (e.g., 1000BASE-T).

Copper ethernet cabling technology

A full-duplex system allows communication in both directions, and unlike half-duplex, allows this to happen simultaneously.

Full duplex

Indicates whether the device supports half-duplex communication, where data can be sent or received but not both simultaneously.

Half duplex

A Medium Dependent Interface (MDI) describes the interface (both physical and electrical) in a computer network from a physical layer implementation to the physical medium used to carry the transmission. Ethernet over twisted pair also defines a medium dependent interface crossover (MDIX) interface. Auto-MDIX ports on newer network interfaces detect if the connection would require a crossover, and automatically chooses the MDI or MDIX configuration to properly match the other end of the link.

Auto MDI/MDI-X

Indicates whether the device can automatically communicate with a connected network partner to determine the highest common transmission speed and duplex mode.

Auto-negotiation

Network

The MAC address is the 'Media Access Control Address'. It is a unique address given to a network interface controller (NIC) in a device. A MAC address table shows the addresses in a table format.

MAC address table

The amount of memory available in the network switch to temporarily store data packets during congestion, typically measured in megabytes (MB) or kilobytes (KB).

Packet buffer memory

Data transmission

The type of mounting that can position devices in a shelving system (rack).

Rack mounting

Devices can be placed on top of each other.

Stackable

The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white.

Product colour

The specific status lights available on the unit to provide visual feedback on its current state or connectivity (e.g., AC input, ACT, or Access).

LED indicators

Design

Indicates whether this product supports is "plug and play". Plug and play is hardware or software that, after being installed ("plugged in"), can immediately be used ("played with"), as opposed to hardware or software which requires configuration.

Plug and Play

Indicates whether the device operates without an internal fan for cooling, resulting in silent operation.

Fanless

Performance

What is providing power for the product e.g. mains electricity.

Power source

There is a power supply with this product.

Power supply included

The range or specific value of direct current voltage required for the device to operate, measured in volts (e.g., 12 or 10 - 58).

DC input voltage

The amount of electrical current drawn by the device during operation, typically measured in amperes (A) or milliamperes (mA).

Input current

Amount of power consumed by this model, often expressed in watts (W). Typical values that manufacturers give are power consumption when off, standby/suspended mode, typical use, maximum usage.

Power consumption (typical)

Power

The device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which is one of several standardized or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling. This allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electrical power to devices such as wireless access points or IP cameras.

Power over Ethernet (PoE)

The minimum and maximum temperatures at which the product can be safely operated.

Operating temperature (T-T)

The minimum and maximum temperatures at which the product can be safely stored.

Storage temperature (T-T)

The range of relative humidity, expressed as a percentage, within which the device can function correctly without damage or performance loss.

Operating relative humidity (H-H)

The permissible range of relative humidity, expressed as a percentage, within which the product can be stored without damage.

Storage relative humidity (H-H)

Operational conditions

The measurement or extent of something from side to side.

Width

The distance from the front to the back of something.

Depth

The measurement of the product from head to foot or from base to top.

Height

Weight of the product without packaging (net weight). If possible, the net weight is given including standard accessories and supplies. Please note that sometimes the manufacturer leaves out the weight of accessories and/or supplies.

Weight

Weight & dimensions

Indicates whether a power supply unit for connecting the device to an AC outlet is provided in the package.

AC adapter included

Package type

The distance from one side of the packaging to the other.

Package width

The distance from the front to the back of the packaging.

Package depth

The distance from the top to the bottom of the packaging.

Package height

Package weight

Packaging data

Specifies the official standards, safety approvals, or regulatory certifications the product has received.

Certification

Certificates

Country where the device is made. Aka Country of manufacture (COM).

Country of origin

The standardized numerical method of classifying traded products used by customs authorities around the world to identify goods for tariffs and statistics.

Harmonized System (HS) code
